Why keep a digital baki khata?
Almost every shop in Bangladesh sells on credit (বাকি). A paper khata works — until a page tears, the handwriting is unclear or a customer disputes the total. A digital khata adds up every entry instantly, shows how long each due has been open and gives the customer a clean statement.
How to use it
- Add a customer with their mobile number. If they already owe you, enter it as the opening balance.
- When you sell on credit, tap Gave on credit and type the amount and items.
- When they pay, tap Got payment. The balance updates immediately.
- Send a WhatsApp or SMS reminder with the exact balance in one tap.
Switch to Suppliers to track what you owe wholesalers and distributors in the same way.
Collecting dues without losing customers
- Set a credit limit for each customer in your head — and stop credit when they reach it.
- Sort by Longest unpaid first each week; dues older than 30 days are highlighted.
- Send reminders after the 1st of the month, when salaried customers have cash.
- Print a statement so the customer sees every entry — disputes drop sharply.
Your data
Everything stays in this browser on this device. Use Backup regularly and keep the file on Google Drive or WhatsApp-to-self; restore it on a new phone in seconds.
A POS records credit sales automatically from the bill, so the khata is always up to date — across every phone and computer in the shop.
