What a valid invoice in Bangladesh should include
A simple sales invoice needs your business details, the customer's details, an invoice number, a date, the items sold and the amount due. If you are VAT-registered, NBR requires a Mushak-6.3 (tax invoice) for each taxable supply.
Mushak-6.3 required fields
- Seller's registered name, address and BIN
- Buyer's name, address and BIN (when the buyer is registered)
- Invoice number, date and time of issue, and delivery details for goods
- Description, quantity, unit price and value of each item
- Supplementary duty (if any), VAT rate and VAT amount
- Total value including all duties and taxes
Tips for faster payment
- Use a clear, sequential invoice number such as
INV-2026-0042. - Write the due date and how to pay — bank account, bKash or Nagad merchant number.
- Write the total in words; banks and finance teams expect it on cheques and bills.
This generator saves your business details on your own device, so the next invoice takes seconds. When you are issuing dozens of invoices a day, POS software numbers them, applies VAT and keeps the sales register for your VAT return automatically.
